I am starting this journal to chronicle my journey of getting free of fibromyalgia pain. I would be excited if it would just lessen. I have tried doctors, medicines, diets, anything to stop the pain.
I am 29 years old. I would like to get married and have a family, but it seems so difficult at this point. It is almost midnight (EST) and I have hip pain, shoulder pain, and overall tired. I am so tired, yet I can't sleep. I am also having a crying fit. I hate the crying fits because they seem like a sign that the fibro is winning.
I have also gained a tremendous amount of weight since the pain started. A record 50 lbs. According to the doctor, I've gained 15 since June 2009. My eating habits aren't bad. I was a vegan for 2 years and a vegetarian for 10. When the pain became unbearable 2 years ago, I blamed my no meat diet and began to eat it again. The pain has worsened so I recently cut meat from my diet again. Ouch---I just had a sharp pain in my knee. I am so miserable. But I am determined to find a solution and maybe my journey can help someone else.
